After the Rays 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins Joe Maddon announced that Alex Cobb will not be making his scheduled start tomorrow as he is battling a minor finger nail issue.
Taking Cobb’s start will be Alex Colome making his big league debt. On the season he is 4-5 with a 2.60 ERA with 61 strike outs against 22 walks in 55.1 innings of work. He last pitched on Friday against the New York Yankees Triple A affiliate Scranton Wilkes-Barre Rail Riders going 5 innings allowing 2R/oER on 5 hits in a 5-1 Bulls victory.
